Good radar detector?
my wife got pulled over by a motorcycle cop and the radar detector did go off but when it was too late, usually other times it warns her ahead of time with the cop vehicle but the motorcycle ones can be tricky. Hers is a 9 or 12 band one cant remember but is there a good one for motorcycle cops or in general? The cop told her that now they have better equpment therefore hers did not work as it should.
I believe that the motorcycle cop doesn’t have as strong a radar as the cops, that is why it doesn’t pick up as soon. For instance, when you go thru a small town, their radars hit you while they are in sight, usually, but a state trooper can be detected for sometimes up to a mile. the majority of the problem is the difference in their equipment. A cheap radar detecter still picks up the same radar as an expensive one, you just get more lights and sounds with the expensive ones. There may be some really high dollar detecters that could do you better, but i doubt it. Hope this helps you out some!
