Are Radar/LIDAR detectors legal in the state of Florida?
I am a relatively safe driver, and I’ve always wondered if purchasing a radar detector would be worth the money. I take a long commute to get home on weekends, and occasionally go over speed limit. And for the stiff price, are they worth it?
It is legal to own and operation radar/LIDAR detectors in vehicles thanks to the Communications Act of 1934.
The only states which make it illegal are Virginia and Washington D.C. while it is illegal to operate at all U.S. Military Bases.
However, Radar jammers are illegal to own and operate in all 50 states.
