hp psc 1410 printer

my printer hp psc 1410 says its got a paper jam, it also displays out of paper when its not, any suggestions?
It also is making a strange noise, help !can I open the back to clean ?
Turn off the printer, and take the cleanout door off the back and make sure there are no tiny strips of paper in there.
Then, once you’re sure it’s completely cleaned out, unplug both the power cord and the printer cord from the back of the printer. Wait a second, plug them both back in and power up the printer and see if all the problems are taken care of.
If not, try HP’s website for troubleshooting tips.
