Question about my new radar detector?
I got a new radar detector for christmas. It is a rocky mountain radar detector. It is a 200 dollar unit and i am not sure it works. I put it into my power outlet and put it on my windshield. It rarely made noises or gave me a warning noise. I saw many cops that my system did not beep at. Is there anything i am not doing right? thanks for any advice.
In states with laws against radar detectors the cops can detect a radar detector by a signal it emits. Except for the expensive units that do not emit any signal.

A cop positioned by the road can also have his radar detection off.. then turn it on to lock on to a vehicles high rate of speed.. lighting up your detector like a Christmas tree.
